Knit, Purl, Crochet

So I'm the parent committee chair for my son's school and it's one of the many things that keep my crazy busy.  Why I opted to do it the same year I start school along with it being both Kingsley's and Leely's first years at school is beyond me, but it seemed like a good idea when the opportunity arose.

The parent committee at Kingsley's school decided to have a cool social hour every month just to work together and get to know each other, in the name of our kids' education.  So for the social hour in March, the parents voted on learning how to crochet and make the kids a hat or a scarf or both.  And I have volunteered to teach the mostly Spanish-only-speaking committee how to do this.  I'm excited and nervous because I've never taught anyone how to crochet, but I'm definitely excited to give it a try.

I haven't touched my lovely lacey scarf since before school started, and my hands really missed it.  I finally picked it up yesterday, and it felt great.  I'm hoping to have it done before my birthday.

I found a cool website today - it showed a little bit on knitting with wire!  Really pretty jewelry can be made like that, and I plan on trying it someday!  Here's the link: http://letsknit2gether.com/
